Timeless in its appeal, this Paat x Eri silk saree is a masterpiece. A time-honoured beauty with an elaborate border in laborious maku mara technique that involves hand weaving each motif individually. A grand pallu adorned with exquisite aou phool design in Muga nicely complements the cheerful coral drape. The white Eri meenkari detailing adds a beautiful contrast to the ghisa motifs, exuding an aura of splendour.
Aou phool (flower of Dillenia Indica) used to be a popular design in olden days, especially in the textiles of Bodo-Kacharis, Deoris and Karbis.
