Chic and graceful for every occasion, this classic blue and lavender stripes Kesa Paat silk saree is a unique piece of art. Painstakingly woven strip by strip to create a linear print-like pattern and adorned with time-honoured Xattriya motifs, it is an irresistible and zesty drape for the cosmopolitan woman!

Xattriya Nritya of Assam is one of the principal classical dance forms of India. It has remained a living tradition since its creation by the founder of Vaishnavism in Assam, the great saint Srimanta Sankardev, in 15th century Assam. These dance dramas are usually performed in the community halls (namghar) or monastery temples (sattras). Themes revolve around Krishna leela and Radha, and sometimes about other Vishnu avatars such as Rama and Sita.

All TSC products are handcrafted from scratch, using the finest materials. The subtle variations in colour, texture and finish are intrinsic to hand made products. Our products involve crafts-based traditions of hand spinning, dyeing and weaving.

Care Instructions:

  • Dry clean only.

  • Avoid spraying perfume directly on the garment.

  • Store garment in a dry environment as zari (if used) tends to react to weather changes.

  • Air the textile every few months.

We use both natural/plant-based and azo-free commercial dyes with the goal of minimising our impact on the environment while striving for the best colour properties. An irregular weave is not a defect - handloom by definition means uncertainty when it comes to uniformity.

Disclaimer: Product colour may slightly vary due to photographic lighting sources or your monitor setting.
