A testament to the skills of our master weavers, this is a standout piece! A fabulous Eri by Kesa Paat silk saree in burnt sienna with gulaap floral motifs crafted in Muga ghisa and natural Eri silk meenakari, complemented by traditional Bodo tribal motifs. Balancing colour, precision and minute detail, the borders are woven individually using the laborious maku mara technique: a celebration of our legacy of heritage craftsmanship.
Ghisa silk, produced in the eastern states of India, is a by-product of Vanya (wild) silks like Tussar and Muga. Ghisa silk is short and has a coarse texture since the yarns are obtained by piercing the cocoons.
