There can't be anything as humble yet a magnificent example of the Oxomiya culture as the Gamusa. It is sort of an identity, an emotion. A part of everyday life in every household in Assam.
Gamusa is a rectangular piece of cloth, woven on a traditional throw shuttle loom with red thread-work on a white cotton base. Motifs include stylised forms of birds, animal, flowers, foliage and other tribal geometric patterns.
