A unique weaving style of Assam, Gari Diya sarees are a cross weave of Kesa Paat (raw mulberry silk) and cotton in a check pattern. Gari Diya weaves are airy and super light to drape and hence are hugely popular in Assam, especially as a summer drape.

To add a little twist to our collection, we introduced Gari Diya sarees in pleasant pastel summer shades and embellished them with delicate motifs in silver zari.

All TSC products are handcrafted from scratch, using the finest materials. The subtle variations in colour, texture and finish are intrinsic to hand made products. Our products involve crafts-based traditions of hand spinning, dyeing and weaving.

Care Instructions:

  • Dry clean only.

  • Store your Assam silk saree in the breathable cotton dustbag we provide with your purchase.

  • Avoid exposure to moisture as zari tends to react to weather changes.

  • Air your Assam silk saree from time to time and re-fold to avoid creasing at the same place for an extended period of time.

We use both natural/plant-based and azo-free commercial dyes with the goal of minimising our impact on the environment while striving for the best colour properties. An irregular weave is not a defect - handloom by definition means uncertainty when it comes to uniformity.

Note: Blouse seen here is for styling purpose only. Saree is paired with an unstitched blouse piece.
