Like dazzling sunbeams, this natural turmeric dyed pure Eri silk saree captivates a happy mood in a gorgeous radiant yellow. Nestling Xingho (lion) motifs, the newest addition to our design vocabulary, complemented by aesthetically woven pahar (hill) motifs in Eri silk. A fabulous complement to your special moments!
Our Xingho motif draws inspiration from the Satras of Majuli - the hub of Neo-Vaishnavite culture. The entryways of these Satras or monasteries are flanked by mythical lion-like animals to keep watch and were historically placed to ward off any negative energies. You will find them poised with a ferocious stance, up on their front paws or with one up in the air, ready to attack. They were said to symbolise good luck, safety and protection for the inhabitants of the spaces they defend.
