Delicately handcrafted in Eri Kesa Paat silk, this whimsical pure silk saree in naturally dyed lac rust orange is reminiscent of our heightened love of nature’s florals. Adorned with Karbi tribal motifs individually handwoven in Muga ghisa, accentuated with bold and energetic mustard meenakari, and a painstakingly woven floral border has us falling for this saree's many charms!
Lac resin extract is made from the resin of a scale insect that thrives in kusum and palash trees. Lac insects leave a waxy substance on branches that is known as shellac. It is probably mostly know in relation to the Tibetan Monks' tunic - all dyed with lac. Lac resin extract gives a variety of reds and pinks including orange, rust browns, brick red, blood red and fiery reds.
