Luxuriously handcrafted cotton silk mekhela sador in rust shot colour, with an iridescent appearance. Accentuated with our favourite Gos motifs in Muga spun, and a stitched border typical of Assamese drapes. Perfect for making a statement in the scorching summer heat without putting too much of an effort.
Mekhela Sador is the traditional Assamese drape worn by women in Assam. It is a two-piece set consisting of a lower garment called the Mekhela, folded into pleats and is worn waist down over a petticoat. The upper garment called the Sador is pleated or let loose at the end like a saree pallu.
Made from: Silk cotton - blend of Kesa Paat (raw mulberry) & indigenous cotton
