





Luxuriously handcrafted Kesa Paat (raw mulberry silk) mekhela sador in eggplant accentuated with mogor (paisley) motifs, each motif individually woven in cement grey and coral Eri silk, and a stitched border typical of Assamese drapes.
Mekhela Sador is the traditional Assamese drape worn by women in Assam. It is a two-piece set consisting of a lower garment called the Mekhela, folded into pleats and is worn waist down over a petticoat. The upper garment called the Sador is pleated or let loose at the end like a saree pallu.
